NATO Deputy Secretary General visits Tunisia

On 3-4 December 2008, the NATO Deputy Secretary General, H. E. Ambassador Claudio Bisogniero paid his first official visit to Tunisia and held bilateral talks with the Foreign Minister H.E. Mr. Abdelwaheb Abdallah and with the Defense Minister H.E. Mr. Kamel Morjane.
The visit took place in the context of the political consultative dimension of the enhanced Mediterranean Dialogue, following the Istanbul Summit. The NATO Deputy Secretary General and the Tunisian Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense exchanged views on the way forward to NATO-Tunisia cooperation, in the framework of the Mediterranean Dialogue, after the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Ministers of NATO and Mediterranean Dialogue countries in Brussels on 2 December.
