The Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) headquarters will host a visitors’ day on 12 November during its annual exercise at Sennelager Training Centre, near Paderborn, Germany.

NATO’s Rapid Deployable Corps are High Readiness Headquarters, which can be quickly dispatched to lead NATO troops on missions within or beyond the territory of NATO member states. There are currently six NATO Rapid Deployable Corps, which are each capable of commanding up to 60,000 soldiers.

The programme of the visitors’ day includes briefings from a prominent UK statesman, a tour of the headquarters in a simulated battlefield environment, and opportunities for interviews with members of the ARRC staff and command group.

Journalists wishing to attend should contact HQ ARRC Public Affairs +49(0)2161 565 5518 or e-mail pao.admin@arrc.nato.int  before 8 October 2008.
