Members of Parliament from Tunisia visit NATO Headquarters

On 31 October 2008, the NATO Public Diplomacy Division organized a visit to NATO HQ of high-level members of the Tunisian Parliament. The delegation was headed by Mr. Salah Tabarki, President of the Political Affairs and External Relations Commission.
During the visit, the distinguished members of Parliament met among others, with the NATO Deputy Secretary General H.E. Amb. Claudio Bisogniero and the Permanent Representative of Portugal to the North Atlantic Council, H.E. Amb. Manuel Tomás Fernandes Pereira.
Briefings delivered by NATO officials covered NATO’s transformation, the Mediterranean Dialogue (MD) and the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI), NATO’s role in Russia and Central Asia, military cooperation under the Mediterranean Dialogue and NATO’s operations.
