On 17 October, the Director of the NATO Standardization Agency, Admiral Juan A. Moreno, will host a celebration of World Standards Day, inviting representatives from NATO, its member countries and the civilian standardization community, whose work contributes towards interoperability in the military arena.
World Standards Day is celebrated each year to pay tribute to the efforts of thousands of experts worldwide who collaborate to develop international standards that facilitate trade, spread knowledge and disseminate technological advances. This year, the theme is “Intelligent and sustainable buildings”, a topical issue for NATO in the development of the new Headquarters in Brussels.
