NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division is organizing, for the third consecutive year, the NATO Afghan Student Forum, a gathering of youth from Afghanistan and neighbouring countries together with students from NATO member countries.

The programme includes several days of lectures from academics, international and NATO experts, as well as representatives from the French armed forces. Participants will discuss a variety of themes including the prospects for long-term security in Afghanistan, the key role of the Afghan nation in that respect, and the contribution provided by NATO.

The Forum is co-organized and hosted by the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of International Relations of the University of Bayonne, France, from 13 to 17 October. A team of ten students from the Ecole Supérieure de Journalisme de Paris will cover the event and publish their views on a dedicated web-site hosted by NATO.
