Senior journalists from Kuwait visit NATO
13 October 2008
On 13 October 2008 the NATO Public Diplomacy Division organized a visit to NATO Headquarters of senior journalists from Kuwait.
During the visit, the delegation met with the NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, the Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy Jean-François Bureau, the Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Security Cooperation and Partnership Amb. Robert F. Simmons, the NATO Spokesman James Appathurai and other high-level NATO officials.
Topics discussed included current political issues, NATO's Transformation and Outreach to the Mediterranean and the broader Middle East region, NATO operations, NATO Relations with Russia and Central Asia, as well as the practical cooperation under NATO's partnerships.
