For their eighth edition, the annual NATO Days drew forty thousand visitors from 17 to 20 September to the Leos Janacek Airport in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Ten NATO nations presented their armed forces to the public in a programme including AWACS aircraft and military and security equipment exhibits.

Several distinguished guests attended, including the Czech Republic’s Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek and NATO’s Assistant Secretary General for Defence Policy and Planning, Mr. Jiří Šedivý.

The event aims to demonstrate the means NATO Allies have at their disposal in providing security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area and beyond.
