“Securing our future”, an interactive exhibition created to illustrate the Alliance’s current operations, capabilities and partnerships, was open to the public from 10 to 19 September in the Zagreb’s Glyptotheque (Croatian Academy of Sciences & Arts). With Croatia on the road to NATO membership, the display aims at raising public awareness of the Alliance’s various roles in responding to existing and emerging security challenges.

This exhibition is evidence that relations between Croatia and NATO are strong, and growing stronger, and I look forward to the day that Croatia formally joins that family of Western democratic nations dedicated to securing our future”, said NATO Assistant Secretary General Jean-François Bureau who opened the exhibition with Minister of Foreign Affairs & European Integration of the Republic of Croatia Mr. Gordan Jandrokovic, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence for Defence Policy Mr. Gordan Čačić and Dr. Gyokos, Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary, NATO’s contact point embassy.

Discover NATO

What is NATO? Why is the Alliance important in today’s world? What does it do for us? The NATO exhibition answers these questions and many more.

The issues of terrorism, weapons of mass destruction, and regional crises and conflicts are widely known to be among the Alliance’s most urgent priorities. But they also include efforts in civil emergency planning, scientific collaboration and much more.  The exhibition outlines NATO, its current operations, capabilities development and broad partnerships.  It shows that "securing our future" is the collective effort of many, aimed at ensuring the security of many more.

A chance to engage

With 15 units that include touch-screens and embedded flat-panel televisions, interactive stories, a quiz and a distribution unit offering take-home multimedia and print products, the exhibition is aimed at all age and interest groups. The 'NATO Cinema', a separate projection of short documentary films, accompany the exhibition.
