Permanent Representatives of several NATO nations assisting Georgia in the destruction of rockets and missiles stockpiles celebrated in Tbilisi the beginning of the implementation of a Trust Fund for this purpose on 15 September.

The ceremony held during the visit of the North Atlantic Council to Georgia highlighted the participation of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania as lead nations in the Trust Fund Project.

The project was formally launched in October 2007 and the financial management agreement was signed on 18 June 2008 at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels. This is the second Partnership for Peace (PfP) Trust Fund Project with Georgia.
