On 1-2 July 2008 200 delegates from NATO and Partner countries attended the Transport Helicopter Conference held by NATO's Conference of National Armaments Directors (CNAD) in Brussels.

The conference offered a platform for national helicopter experts, operators and industry from NATO Allies and Partners to discuss technical and logistical issues for transport helicopters operating in austere environments such as Afghanistan. The aim was to identify solutions to improve capabilities, increase availability and enhance helicopter performance as part of the Alliance’s efforts to remedy specific shortfalls in this area.

Breakout sessions held in parallel enabled the participants to attend company briefings targeted to their specific needs.  Participating industries also had the opportunity to display their solutions in the main conference hall.

Presentations and photos from the event are available on the conference website at http://www.natohelicopterconference.org/.
