The NATO Consultation, Command and Control Board (NC3 B) is holding a two-day exhibition at NATO HQ on 21 and 22 May. The purpose of the display is to demonstrate the various national, NATO and industry capabilities available in the area of communications and information systems (CIS), and focus on technologies and products to achieve the integrated capability to receive, correlate and display a common operational picture.
The NC3 Board is a senior multinational body acting on behalf of and responsible to the North Atlantic Council and Defence Planning Committee on all matters relating to Consultation, Command and Control (C3) throughout the Organisation. This Board is also responsible for managing the CIS policy in support of C3.
“NATO and nations need capabilities to come to a recognized operational picture providing a coherent and comprehensive situational awareness - well focussed on the intended audience,” said NATO’s Assistant Secretary General for Defence Investment, Peter Flory. “I’m convinced that by end of the exhibition, we’ll have seen a broad spectrum of products and technologies, which will help us to achieve our objectives for the Alliance.”
The exhibitors list includes 30 companies from 15 countries, such as EADS Defence & Security, IBM, SAAB, THALES, and also welcomes for the first time two Israeli companies. Two NATO bodies, the Allied Command Transformation (ACT) and the NATO C3 Agency participate in what is already the 5th edition of this annual event.
The exhibition will be displayed until 22 May, 15:00 pm. in the NATO Press Area.
