The Secretary General of NATO, Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, traveled to Warsaw on Thursday, 13 March. He met with President Lech Kaczynski, Minister of Foreign Affairs Radoslaw Sikorski and Minister of National Defence Bogdan Klich.
He also delivered the keynote speech at the international conference held at the Royal Castle: “NATO summit in Bucharest. Transforming NATO – Polish and regional perspective”. Additionally, the Secretary General met with the Polish soldiers serving in the NATO-led ISAF mission in Afghanistan.
