The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Mr. Hashim Thaci, visited the NATO Headquarters and met with the NATO Secretary General. They discussed the current situation within Kosovo and in the region.

The Secretary General reaffirmed that KFOR will continue to carry out its mission as mandated by UNSCR 1244, to ensure freedom of movement and to protect majority and minority alike. He welcomed the Prime Minister's assurances that the interests and security of all communities in Kosovo will be safeguarded.

The Secretary General and Prime Minister Thaci agreed on the need for a coordinated and managed status process.
