NATO Deputy Secretary General meets the Crown Prince of Qatar

On 10 September 2007 the Deputy Secretary General of NATO met in Doha with H.H. Sheikh Tameem Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Crown Prince and Heir Apparent of Qatar and with Maj. Gen. Hamad Bin Ali Al-Atiya, Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces.
During the visit the NATO Deputy Secretary General also met with H.E. Ambassador Mohammed Abdullah Mutib Al Rumaihi, Assistant Foreign Minister for Follow Up Affairs.
The talks focused on the future prospects of NATO Qatar relations in the framework of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, particularly on how to enhance political consultations and how to develop the 2008 menu of practical cooperation between NATO and Qatar.
