Secretary General on the attack on ISAF

Reacting to the attack on the UK ISAF soldiers today in the Helmand Province of Southern Afghanistan the Secretary General offered his deepest condolences to the UK government and the families of the killed and wounded service personnel.
Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer also said: "NATO will not be deterred from its essential stabilisation mission in Afghanistan by the minority who only offer violence and disorder. Allied solidarity and determination to help the people of Afghanistan remain steadfast."
