On behalf of NATO, the Secretary General has already expressed his deep concern with the conduct of the electoral process in Belarus, which, according to the OSCE, was neither free nor fair.
Allies are also concerned with the aftermath of the election, in which hundreds of protestors have been arrested. In that context, NATO is now closely examining its relationship with Belarus -- a relationship which is already limited to low-level, technical contacts.
