Eurovision song contest winner Ruslana and a group of Ukrainian celebrities visited NATO Headquarters on 17 November to express their support for their country’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
High hopes
The group of musicians, writers and celebrities toured the NATO Headquarters and met with NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer.
They exchanged views on how celebrities could help in Ukraine’s membership aspirations and work to break down lingering Cold War stereotypes.
The visit follows several busy months of intensified dialogue between NATO and Ukraine on its membership aspirations, including a visit by the North Atlantic Council, the Alliance’s principal decision-making body, to Ukraine.
