In exercise Cooperative Engagement 2005 they will practice preventing arms smuggling to a fictitious country in order to help re-establish order.
The exercise tests NATO’s ability to integrate multinational partner forces into NATO-led operations.
While assuring the readiness of its own forces, NATO continues to cooperate closely with partner countries in order to build peace and stability through dialogue and co-operation.
Part of this cooperation involves practicing for joint operations.
