The Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe launched the inaugural event for its new SHAPE Lecture Series today.

RetiredGerman Army Gen. Klaus Naumann, former Chief of Defence and former NATOMilitary Committee Chairman, highlighted the event with a speechentitled “NATO: Does it Have a Future?”

The series,inspired by U.S. Marine Corps Gen. James L. Jones, Supreme AlliedCommander Europe, is intended to inform opinion-makers, academics andinfluential leaders on the role of NATO in the changing world securityenvironment.
