Six countries have cometogether to create a special multinational unit whose mission will beto develop movement and transportation plans and prioritise movementrequirements of troops in theatre.

This initiativeresults from the shift to more expeditionary operations beyond NATO’sterritory and the recognition by Allies and Partners of the need toincrease the speed of deploying forces, to maximize the efficiency oflogistics in theatre and to minimise the cost of sustaining theseoperations.
