On 19 February, the NATO-led peacekeeping force in Bosnia and Herzegovina conducted search operations in Pale targeted at the support network of indicted war criminals.

Troops from the Stabilization Force (SFOR) conducted unannounced searches at a local radio station and telephone company belonging to persons suspected of aiding indicted war criminal Radovan Karadic.

These searches were only a first step in a series of operations that SFOR is planning against the support network of Mr. Karadic and other indicted war criminals.

SFOR will continue to exploit information obtained through questioning of detained persons, house searches and other intelligence sources to plan the next steps in the hunt for supporters of indicted war criminals and the indictees.
