The Secretary General of NATO, Lord Robertson, will make his farewell visit to the United States from Tuesday, 11 November to Thursday, 13 November 2003. The Secretary General will also participate in his last NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

The Secretary General of NATO, Lord Robertson, will make his farewell visit to the United States from Tuesday, 11 November to Thursday, 13 November 2003. The Secretary General will also participate in his last NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

On Tuesday, 11 November he will address the Plenary Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Orlando, Florida. He will have breakfast with the US Congressional delegation and be available to meet the press following his remarks.

On Wednesday, 12 November, Lord Robertson will meet President Bush in the Oval Office following which the President will host a lunch for the Secretary General. Lord Robertson will also meet separately with Secretary of State Powell, Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld and National Security Advisor Rice.

In addition, Lord Robertson will deliver a farewell address at a conference on "The Marshall Legacy: The Role of the Transatlantic Community in Building Peace and Security" on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of George C. Marshall receiving the Nobel Prize for Peace. The event is hosted by the George C. Marshall Foundation, the Center for Transatlantic Relations at the Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies and the Royal Norwegian Embassy. He will also deliver a tribute at the George C. Marshall Foundation Award dinner in honor of Secretary of State Colin Powell.

On Thursday, 13 November, Lord Robertson will meet members of the US Senate on Capitol Hill and will have a media program.
