The Secretary General of NATO, Lord Robertson, will be travelling to Vienna on 14 October 2003 in order to attend the opening of the first Pristina-Belgrade direct talks under the auspices of the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) and supported by NATO, the European Union and the OSCE.
The talks will be chaired by the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations in Kosovo (SRSG), Mr. Harri Holkeri and will focus on practical issues of mutual concern for Pristina and Belgrade.
