The North Atlantic Council (NAC) will visit the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (ª) on Thursday, 2 October 2003. During the visit, the NAC will meet President Boris Trajkovski, Prime Minister Branko Crvenkovski, Foreign Minister Ilinka Mitreva, Defence Minister Vlado Buchkovski, Leader of the Democratic Union of Integration Party (DUI) Ali Ahmeti, as well as representatives of political parties and international organisations, including the European Union and the OSCE.
The NAC is the senior decision-making body of NATO, comprising the 19 NATO permanent representatives, chaired by the Secretary General, Lord Robertson.
