The Secretary General of NATO, Lord Robertson, will travel to Tajikistan and Uzbekistan from Tuesday, 23 September till Friday, 26 September 2003.

The Secretary General of NATO, Lord Robertson, will travel to Tajikistan and Uzbekistan from Tuesday, 23 September till Friday, 26 September 2003.

In Tajikistan, Lord Robertson will meet H.E. President Emamoli Rakhmanov, Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Akilov, Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Zuhurov, Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. Nazarov, Minister of Defence H.E. Mr. Khairullaev and Minister of Security H.E. Mr. Abdurahimov.

Lord Robertson will also meet Mr. Ubaidullaev, the Chairman of Upper House of Parliament, and Mr. Khairullaev, the Chairman of Lower House of Parliament, before addressing professors and students at the Tajik State National University.

In Uzbekistan, Lord Robertson will meet H.E. President Islam Karimov, with Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. Safaev and Minister of Defence H.E. Mr. Gulomov.

Lord Robertson will also meet Mr. Khalilov, the Chairman of Oliy Majlis (the Uzbek Parliament) before addressing students and professors of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy of Tashkent.
