The Secretary General of NATO, Lord Robertson, condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist attack on the Embassy of the Kingdom of Jordan in Baghdad. Lord Robertson also expresses his sympathy to the families of the victims and the Alliance's solidarity with the authorities of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

"The terrorist attack perpetrated yesterday at the Jordanian Embassy in Baghdad is a criminal and unjustifiable act which must be vigorously condemned. Terrorist violence must be denounced and combated. The members of the Atlantic Alliance reaffirm their commitment to fight the terrorist menace in all its forms. I offer my sincerest condolences to the families of the victims of this barbarous act and express the Atlantic Alliance's solidarity with the authorities of the Kingdom."
