The North Atlantic Council (NAC), with the Ambassadors of the seven invited countries to NATO, will visit Kosovo on 26 June 2003. During the visit, the NAC and the Ambassadors will meet the Commander of KFOR, General Mini, the UN SRSG, Michael Steiner, as well as representatives of the local authorities.
This visit to Kosovo is a concrete demonstration of the Alliance's continuing commitment to maintain peace and stability in Kosovo as well as in the whole Balkans region.
The NAC is the senior decision-making body of NATO, comprising the 19 NATO permanent representatives and the Secretary General, Lord Robertson. The seven invited countries are Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lituania, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
