A live-flying exercise is taking place, 23 June to 3 July, covering an area stretching across from southern Germany to Denmark and from the United Kingdom to mid-Poland.
The aim of Exercise Clean Hunter is mainly to provide a training opportunity for air forces from different NATO member countries. It also exercises Headquarters Allied Air Forces North and its subordinate combined air operations centres in the planning and conduct of major coordinated live air operations. The exercise involves many different types of aircraft. It is being run concurrently with and is linked to other land and sea exercises, allowing for joint planning and operations to be practised.
Participating countries include Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States. Headquarters Allied Air Forces North, Ramstein, Germany is conducting it.
