“Strengthening the Market Economy and the Formation of a Middle Class Society as a Precondition for Ukraine to become a NATO Member” was the theme of a Round-table that took place in the regional city of Kharkiv on 16 April.

The event was organised by the Institute of Society Transformation and co-sponsored by the NATO Information and Documentation Centre in Ukraine. The open discussion, with the participation of NATO officials, state and local authorities and members of the local media, focused on the objectives and priorities, particularly in the area of economic cooperation, outlined in the NATO-Ukraine Action Plan.
