The Allied Command Europe Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) celebrated its 10th anniversary as NATO's first land-based, rapid deployable headquarters on 2 October, marking a decade of Alliance post-Cold War engagement.
The ARRC, located in Moenchengladbach, Germany, was established on 2 October 1992 to provide NATO with rapid response capabilities. Its success was proven in operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, where it provided command and control for NATO's initial-entry forces.
