Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov visited NATO Headquarters on 6 February 2002 to meet with NATO Secretary General Lord Robertson and discuss his country's preparations for NATO membership.
On his first foreign trip since taking office in January, President Parvanov was accompanied by Foreign Minister Solomon Passy and Defence Minister Nikolay Svinarov.
