Dr. Solomon Passy, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, met with Gen. Joseph Ralston, the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, this morning at SHAPE Headquarters in Casteau, Belgium.
The morning discussions centered on Bulgaria's ongoing military reform initiatives and participation in NATO's Partnership for Peace program, and its ongoing contributions to the NATO-led operations in the Balkans, including SFOR (Bosnia-Herzegovina) and KFOR (Kosovo). In addition, Dr. Passy and Gen. Ralston discussed Bulgaria's contribution in support of Operation Enduring Freedom humanitarian assistance operations in Afghanistan.
