NATO's 19 Foreign Ministers are to meet, 6-7 December, to examine issues on the Alliance's current agenda, including NATO's response to terrorism since the attacks of 11 September 2001, steps toward enhancing NATO-Russia relations, the situation in the Balkans, as well as enlargement, missile defence and NATO-EU relations.
The Foreign Ministers will first meet together before holding meetings with their counterparts from Ukraine (NATO-Ukraine Commission), Russia (NATO-Russia Permanent Joint Council) and from the 27 non NATO members of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council. A NATO-EU meeting will also be held at the level of Foreign Ministers. It will be hosted by the Belgian EU Presidency at the Justus Lipsius Building, European Council, Brussels, on 6 December.
