A delegation of high-level representatives from NATO, the EU and the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) travelled to Skopje on 18 October 2001 to urge government officials to resume the country's political process.

NATO Secretary General Lord Robertson, the EU High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy Dr Solana and the Chairman in Office of the OSCE and Romanian Foreign Minister Geoana, as well as the Supreme Allied Commander Europe General Ralston, met with President Trajkovski, Prime Minister Georgievski, Minister of the Interior Boshkovsky, President of the Parliament Andov and leaders of the Opposition parties. The international delegation stressed the need for the country's internal reforms to be submitted to the Parliament as soon as possible. This parliamentary process comprises the vote of 15 constitutional amendments.

The international delegation was also briefed by the NATO Senior Military Representative General Lange and Task Force Fox Commander Brigadier General Keerl. They then met with the Special Envoy of the EU, François Léotard, of the OSCE, Max van der Stoel, and of the US, James Pardew.
