The Secretary General of NATO, Lord Robertson, will be travelling to Spain on 10 and 11 May. On Thursday 10 May, he will deliver a speech in the context of an international conference on New Security and Defence Challenges in the Euro-Atlantic Area, at the Centro Caixa in Barcelona. The Secretary General will then proceed to Madrid where he will be meeting with President José Maria Aznar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Josep Piqué, and the Minister of Defence, Mr. Federico Trillo. The Secretary General will also meet with the President of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Jordi Pujol and the Mayor of Barcelona, Joan Clos.

A joint point de presse with the Minister of Defence, Federico Trillo, is scheduled at 11:15 on Thursday, 10 May, at the Centro Caixa, in Barcelona.
