Bulgaria's parliament voted by an overwhelming majority on 6 April to ratify an agreement with NATO, authorising the transit of NATO forces across Bulgarian territory.
The agreement, which was signed in principle by Bulgarian Defence Minister Boyko Noev during his visit to NATO HQ on 21 March, allows NATO to bring troops from Greece and Turkey across Bulgaria to reinforce the NATO-led peacekeeping operation in Kosovo.
