Lord Robertson went on a two-day visit (1-2 February) to the Norwegian capital Oslo to meet with Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, Minister of Foreign Affairs Thorbjørn Jagland and Defence Minister Bjørn Tore Godal. He was also invited to give a speech at the Nobel Institute, in which he underlined Norway's contribution to security in the Euro-Atlantic area and the concern NATO had in responding to the security preoccupations of all of its members, including those of Norway.

Lord Robertson was granted an audience by His Majesty King Harald and then held a joint meeting with members of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Standing Committee on Defence of the Norwegian Parliament.
