Two days after the EU capabilities conference in Brussels, the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Gerhard Schröder, came to NATO HQ, on 22 November, for bilateral talks with Lord Robertson. They discussed the situation in the Balkans, recent developments in NATO-EU security cooperation, Germany's contribution to the future EU rapid reaction forces and the implementation of its defence reform.
