Meanwhile, in Germany, the Allied Command Europe Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) HQ led forces from 11 NATO countries in the war-fighting exercise, ARRCADE FUSION 2000 (13-26 October). The scenario placed ARRC as the land component command of a high-intensity conflict, testing its ability to lead forces during a crisis situation. This time last year, ARRC had just left the rotational command post of KFOR. It was deployed in Kosovo for six months, from April to October 1999.
