A symposium was organised by the Supreme Allied Command, Atlantic (SACLANT), on the "Future of North Atlantic Security - Emerging Strategic Imperatives" on 6-7 September in the Icelandic capital, Reykjavik. NATO Secretary General, Lord Robertson, was invited to deliver a speech in which he gave a broad overview of NATO's current agenda. He underlined NATO's role in Kosovo, NATO-Russia relations, the progress in NATO's cooperation with Partners, its growing collaboration with the European Union and the needed improvements in the Alliance's defence capabilities.
