Parliamentarians from NATO and Partner countries and from countries in the Balkans, were among the participants who met at the 47th Rose-Roth seminar organised by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. The seminar was held in Ohrid, in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia 1 from 29 June to 1 July on the theme of "Regional Security and Reconstruction in South Eastern Europe".

The seminar laid out and gave the opportunity to participants from Western, Central and Eastern Europe to discuss the challenges met in bringing peace, stability and economic prosperity to the region.

The Rose-Roth programme was set up in 1990 to encourage cooperation between the parliaments of Central and Eastern Europe and to involve them in activities organised by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. It owes its name to its two initiators: the then President of the Assembly Congressman Charlie Rose and Senator Bill Roth.
