NATO Secretary General, Lord Robertson, presented Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), General Wesley Clark, with a NATO medal for the Former Yugoslavia and one for Kosovo at a ceremony held at NATO HQs on 12 April. General Clark will be handing over the command of the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) to General Joseph W. Ralston from the US Air Force in May of this year.
The farewell ceremony took place after General Clark had attended his last North Atlantic Council meeting -NATO's highest decision making body- in his capacity as SACEUR that morning.
