KFOR continues to provide assistance within its means in support of the ongoing effort in Kosovo. For instance, its contribution has been critical to the implementation and running of the Kosovo Police Service School in Vucitirin. This school does not have a reliable water source and has even been threatened by closure because of this. KFOR has therefore supported the school since the end of March with a daily delivery of 45,000-60,000 litres of water.

Mine awareness and unexploded ordinance continue to be a problem in Kosovo. KFOR soldiers from different regions are involved in awareness campaigns in Pec, for instance, and also in the Podujevo area where KFOR forces will start visiting schools to reinforce the message about mine and unexploded ordinance awareness that has already been conveyed by organisations such as the Vietnam Veterans Association.

Other forms of support are also being provided throughout the province such as the distribution of school furniture to the village of Planjane, supporting NGO handicapped international with two trucks, providing soldiers to help with traffic security while undertaking de-mining activities in Djakovica municipality. Other daily tasks include the transportation of rubbish to the municipal landfill for the Pec civil hospital, supporting firemen with the handling of engines and providing bags of blood to the hospital of Pristina.
