An aircraft exercise involving ten NATO countries is taking place in France from 27 to 31 March. Conducted at Solenzara air base, Exercise Ample Train 2000 (EAT 00-1) aims to support and supply aircraft between the participating countries (Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Turkey and the United Kingdom).

Although France is not a member of NATO's integrated military structure, it participates in training exercises with other NATO members. This particular exercise allows participants to test the degree of compatibility between their rapid reaction forces and gives them the opportunity to train from a different base. EAT 00-1 is the first of two air logistics exercises to be conducted this year. The second one will take place later in the year.
