The Secretary General of NATO the Rt. Hon. Lord Robertson of Port Ellen will visit Italy on 8-9 December 1999. During this visit the Secretary General will meet with the President of the Republic of Italy Hon. Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, the Prime Minister of Italy Hon. Massimo D'Alema, the Foreign Minister of Italy Hon. Lamberto Dini and the Defence Minister of Italy Sen. Carlo Scognamiglio.

Foreign Minister Dini and Secretary General Robertson will jointly meet the Press at the Italian Foreign Ministry at approx. 17.15 on 8 December.

Prime Minister D'Alema and Secretary General Robertson will jointly meet the press at Palazzo Chigi at approx. 09.45 on 9 September.
