The Secretary General of NATO, Dr. Javier Solana, will visit Kosovo and Bosnia-Herzegovina on Sunday, 26 September and Monday, 27 September 1999. He will be accompanied by the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe (SACEUR), General Wesley Clark.

In Kosovo, the Secretary General will meet the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General for Kosovo, Mr. Bernard Kouchner, the Commander of KFOR, General Sir Mike Jackson, as well as senior Kosovar Albanian and Serb leaders. The Secretary General will also pay a visit to KFOR troops and local leaders in Pec.



The Secretary General will give a press conference at + 9.30 on 27 September at the Press Information Center in Pristina.

In Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Secretary General will meet with members of the Presidency, the High Representative, Ambassador Wolfgang Petritsch, COMSFOR, General Montgomery C. Meigs and representatives of international organizations.



The Secretary General will give a press conference at + 15.30 on 27 September at the Press Information Center in Sarajevo.
