The XVI° International NATO Workshop, organised by the Center for Strategic Defense Research (United States), took place in Budapest, Hungary on 19-23 June. Heads of State and Government, Ministers, Chiefs of Defence Staff, high-level representatives from NATO, the Western European Union and defence industries had an informal exchange of views on decisions made at the NATO Washington Summit (23-25 April 1999). Particular attention was paid to the Alliance's Revised Strategic Concept and the future of Kosovo. NATO Secretary General, Dr Javier Solana, gave the key note speech and a special address was given by SACEUR, General Wesley Clark.
