The Secretary General of NATO, Dr. Javier Solana, will visit Albania and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia 1 on Wednesday, 12 May 1999.

During his visit to Albania, the Secretary General will meet the President, Mr. Rexhep Meidani, and the Prime Minister, Mr. Majkom Pandeli and Senior members of the government. He will also meet the Commander of the Albania Force (AFOR), Lt.Gen. John Reith, as well as visit the Elbusan refugee camp.

During his visit to the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia 1, he will meet the President, Mr. Kiro Gligorov, the Prime Minister, Mr. Ljubco Georgievski, and Senior members of the government. He will also meet the NATO Senior representative to FYROM1, Ambassador Hans Jörg Eiff, and the Commander of the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC), Lt.Gen. Mike Jackson, and visit the Czegrane refugee camp.
