Le Secrétaire général de l'OTAN, M. Javier Solana, effectuera une visite en Italie les 24 et 25 janvier 1999.

The Secretary General of NATO Dr. Javier Solana will visit Italy on 24 and 25 January 1999. During his visit he will meet the Prime Minister Massimo D'Alema, the Foreign Minister Lamberto Dini and the Defense Minister Carlo Scognamiglio.

The Secretary General will also give a speech at an International Conference co-sponsored by NATO on: "The Fiftieth Anniversary of the Atlantic Alliance: a New NATO for a New Europe". The Conference will take place at the Italian Chamber of Deputies in Rome.

The Secretary General will meet the press jointly with the Prime Minister at Palazzo Chigi in Rome.
