The Secretary General of NATO, Mr. Willy Claes, will
visit the United States from Saturday, 30 September
till Wednesday, 4 October 1995. During the visit he
will meet with President Bill Clinton, the Secretaries
of State and of Defense, the National Security Advisor
and Congressional leaders.

On Monday, 2 October, late morning, the Secretary
General will meet with President Clinton at the White
House and also with the National Security Advisor
Anthony Lake.
A working lunch hosted by Secretary of State Warren
Christopher will conclude the Secretary General's
morning schedule of 2 October.
In the afternoon, the Secretary General will meet with
Secretary of Defense William Perry.
On Tuesday, 3 October and Wednesday, 4 October, the
Secretary General plans to meet with senior members of
the US Administration and also with leading members of
Congress.
On Wednesday, 4 October, the Secretary General will
give a luncheon speech on the future of NATO at the
National Press Club.
The Secretary General's schedule is subject to change.

VISITE DU SECRETAIRE GENERAL DE L'OTAN AUX ETATS-UNIS
Le Secretaire general de l'OTAN, M. Willy
Claes, effectuera une visite aux Etats-Unis du samedi
30 septembre au mercredi 4 octobre 1995. A cette
occasion, il rencontrera le President Bill Clinton, le
Secretaire d'Etat et le Secretaire a la Defense, le
Conseiller pour la securite nationale et des
personnalites du
Congres.

Le lundi 2 octobre en fin de matinee, le
Secretaire general rencontrera le President Clinton a
la Maison Blanche ainsi que le Conseiller pour la
securite nationale, M. Anthony Lake.
Le programme de la matinee du 2 octobre se
terminera par un dejeuner de travail offert par le
Secretaire d'Etat, M. Warren Christopher.
Dans l'apres-midi, le Secretaire general
rencontrera le Secretaire a la Defense, M. William
Perry.
Les mardi 3 octobre et mercredi 4 octobre,
le Secretaire general compte s'entretenir avec de
hauts responsables du gouvernement des Etats-Unis et
avec des personnalites du Congres.
Le mercredi 4 octobre, le Secretaire general
prononcera lors du dejeuner une allocution sur
l'avenir de l'OTAN, au National Press Club.
